Aurum Foundation an Anthroposophical Approach to Healing presented by Juliane Weeks Saturday, February 19, 2005, 2:30 - 4 PM. Juliane Weeks spent six weeks as a music therapist intern at the Friedrich-Husemann Klinik in Buchenbach near Freiburg, Germany, the oldest Anthroposophical psychiatric clinic in existence. In this presentation she will give an introduction to the unique way in which the clinic works with this population, in particular how the combination of medical treatment and artistic therapies serves the healing process. Juliane will offer examples of her work as a music therapist with patients in this setting with a special focus on depression. The afternoon will include a short introduction, followed by conversation and questions. This event welcomes those who seek a deeper understanding of Anthroposophically based therapy. The event is free of charge, but we welcome donations for Aurum's "Helping Hearts and Hands Fund", which helps to provide artistic therapy for patients in the local area with financial need.
