Caring for Common Illnesses at Home

The morning session will acquaint you with the significance of warmth and fever for human health. You will learn about assessment of a personšs condition during fever as well as various natural means to provide comfort, encourage healing, and prevent complications. We will practice various treatments that address fever.

The afternoon session will be spent going into greater depth and practice of external applications for localized inflammation such as earache, sore throat and infected wounds.

Books and Home Care Kits will be available for purchase. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring slippers. Lunch on your own, or bring lunch to eat in.

Tuition: Full Day - $55, AM session - $40
             Tuition assistance may be available upon request.
             Aurum members receive a 20% discount.

Margaret Rosenthaler, R.N., B.S.N., is a nurse working with Margaretha Hertle, M.D., at the Ita Wegman Family Care Center in Harlemville, NY. She has a private practice in rhythmical massage and is also nurse for the Triform Camphill community. She studied nursing in Switzerland and rhythmical massage and hydrotherapy in Germany.
